A vocation to the religious life is gift from God the Father to the individual, a call to be totally conformed to Christ through the grace of the Holy Spirit, for the service of the Church. It is the total consecration of self for the love and service of Jesus Christ. The religious stands as a prophetic sign of the supreme good and destiny that all will find in God alone, a reminder to the world that human life finds its finality in God.
Could God be asking this of you? Yes? No? Have no idea?
Well, we're offering a vocational discernment retreat for single, Catholic young women (18-35yrs) for a weekend of prayer, fellowship, talks on discernment, vocation and Dominican spirituality -- and good food and fun! Make a little room in your heart for God to speak - and make a little time to listen for Him here in the New Forest!
Please RSVP to confirm attendance as spaces are very limited -- either through Facebook direct messages, email [dominican(dot)sisters(at)talk21(dot)com], or phone (01590 681874).
As for costs, we ask only a donation of goodwill if you are able.
Our priory is open to anyone who wishes to spend time with God in silent rest and prayer, either for a day or for longer.
We also welcome groups, either for the day (up to 35 people) or for the weekend (up to 10 people).
We lead the retreats ourselves, providing a deep experience of Christian life in all its 4 dimensions:
- a deeper knowledge and love for God through the proclamation and teaching of the Faith
- an encounter with the living God through the celebration of the Eucharist
- a joyful experience of fellowship lived in charity
- an invitation to spend time with God in prayer
